I agree that the C drive is toast and I'm considering trying to move the OS (or just the majority of programs) to the D drive. I tried all of my System Restore points (which extend back to the factory restore on Sunday) and none work. How can I boot normally into windows again to uncheck the option? There's an option in the well-known System Configuration utility that will let you force Windows to always boot into Safe mode… until you turn the option off.
