For me I do use the RDC XP download on a 2000 client and I use it for connecting to Win 2003 servers. It has now reoccurred with a new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit and Office 2010. Are there any solutions? I found that the following cured it.

Host is running Windows XP service pack 2. I had to close all MS Office programs that were running (including Communicator) and then restarted the service. I've also never heard of UltraVMC. Having Word and/or Outlook open at the same time will not cause the problem to occur unless a browser is also open.
